Glór Tíre nominated for
Celtic Media Festival Award

IRELAND’S leading Country Music show, Glór Tire, has been nominated for a Celtic Media Festival Award in the Entertainment (Screen) category.

The Torc Awards for Excellence are presented annually at the Celtic Media Festival which celebrates the breadth of talent in the film, TV, radio and digital media industries across the Celtic Nations and Regions (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, The Isle of Man, Galicia).

The Awards are presented to programmes in Celtic minority languages - as well as those in English, French, Spanish, and Galician - from the Celtic Nations and Regions.

Glór Tire is produced by Galway media company, Gael Media, and broadcast on national Irish language channel, TG4. Now in it’s 21st season, it is a competition-based show which aims to find Ireland’s next Country music star.

Glór Tíre is widely regarded as an important platform for both established and emerging Irish Country artists and as vital to the lifeblood of the genre. It is also a bilingual show, featuring Gaeilge agus Bearla.

The Celtic Media Festival involves an annual three-day summit bringing together media professionals from the Celtic Nations and Regions for conference panel sessions, workshops, pitching sessions, and networking events. The winners will be announced at the 2025 Festival which takes place in Newquay, Cornwall, from 3rd to 5th June.
